Skilling Queenslanders for Work – Applying for Funding – Bundaberg
Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) represents a significant investment of $240 million over four years to support 32,000 Queenslanders into work through a suite of targeted skills and training programs.
SQW is focused on developing skills for individuals and providing direct assistance to those Queenslanders that need support to gain the qualifications and skills needed to enter and stay in the workforce.
The initiative provides tailored support to assist participants complete vocational outcomes and prepare them to enter or re-enter the workforce.
Round 1 for 2017/2018 was recently announced, with applications closing on 6 April 2017. Community-based organisations with not-for-profit objectives, registered training organisations, local councils and school Parent and Citizens’ and Parent and Friends’ associations are invited to an information session covering the SQW guidelines, application process and regional priorities.
